Gillian Steward

Gillian Steward is a Calgary author and journalist. She currently writes a regular column for the Toronto Star and teaches journalism at Mount Royal University in Calgary. She was the managing editor at The Calgary Herald from 1987 to 1990 and wrote a syndicated column for the Southam newspapers from 1990-1992.  From 2001 to 2004 she was a visiting professor at the School of Journalism, University of Regina.   In 2000 she co-authored with Kevin Taft Clear Answers: The Economics and Politics of For-Profit Medicine.  Gillian is also working on a PhD in communication studies at the University of Calgary.
