Marci McDonald
Marci McDonald is a Toronto-based journalist and author who has just published her third book, The Armageddon Factor: the Rise of Christian Nationalism in Canada. The winner of eight gold National Magazine Awards, she spent more than a decade in Washington, first as Maclean’s bureau chief and later as a senior writer for U.S. News & World Report, where she watched the rise of the American religious right from a front-row seat. In 1993, she was awarded the Atkinson Fellowship for Public Policy, which led to her previous book, Yankee Doodle Dandy: Brian Mulroney and the American Political Agenda.
