Scott Harris

Scott Harris is the Prairies Regional Organizer with the Council of Canadians, Canada’s largest citizens’ organization. He has been active for over a decade in the environmental and anti-globalization movements and has also worked in the labour movement, in international solidarity and has also been involved in promoting alternative local transportation. For the past two years he has also been actively involved in solidarity work to end the occupation of Palestine through the Palestine Solidarity Network and other national and international groups. Through no fault of his own he has had the pleasure of being tear-gassed by security forces in three different countries, and was amongst the thousands of people illegally detained in Toronto during demonstrations against the G20 in June.
