Parkland to release new report at public event

Parkland's research director Diana Gibson will be releasing a new report at a public event in Edmonton tomorrow evening (Tuesday, September 21). The report, "Access, Quality, Affordability: Real Health Care Change for Albertans," was co-authored by Colleen Fuller and Diana Gibson.

The report highlights what we heard last spring while MLA Fred Horne was consulting with Albertans about the proposed Alberta Health Act, responds to his report released last week, and emphasizes some of the real changes the government can implement if they are genuinely interested in "putting Albertans first" when it comes to health care. The full report will be available on Parkland's website immediately after the presentation.

The event, hosted by the Friends of Medicare, will also feature a presentation by Dr. Brian Goldman, host of CBC radio's White Coat Black Art.
