Parkland Event and Alberta Could Tour

Standing Up for Science – a crash course

Free Event: Wednesday May 7th

When: 7:00 PM 

Where: Room 1-182

Edmonton Clinic Health Academy (ECHA)

Join Alana Westwood, Atlantic region organizer and volunteer coordinator for Evidence for Democracy, for an interactive workshop hosted by the Parkland Institute.   

The workshop will address topics including different styles of advocacy and their effectiveness, and the critical differences between science advocacy and traditional advocacy. From sharing through social media to large-scale creative actions, there is a way for everyone to get involved to help protect science and information--the cornerstone of a healthy democracy in Canada.

Followed by a meet up at Sherlock Holmes Pub

New PIA website

Public Interest Alberta has launched a new website, Alberta Could, regarding fair progressive and corporate taxes.


Parkland will be co-sponsoring an upcoming tour regarding this campaign and will keep you posted on times, dates, and locations.
