Parkland Institute recent media interviews on the provincial budget
Parkland Institute
Parkland Institute’s ongoing work on the provincial budget and the Remaking Alberta conference meant that the organization had a tremendous media presence over the course of the days following the provincial budget. Here are links to numerous articles in which Parkland research is covered and staff are interviewed:
- Parkland Research Associate Greg Flanagan on QR77’s Alberta Today with Mike Blanchard talking about Alberta’s revenue problem. (Segment starts about 8 minutes into the feed).
- Parkland Research Director on 630 CHED with Lesley Primeau talking about the provincial budget and taking calls. (Segment starts about 6 minutes into the feed).
- Parkland’s Diana Gibson on The Rutherford Show with Rob Breakenridge providing budget analysis. (Segment starts about 7 minutes into the feed.)
- Ricardo Acuna on CBC’s Wildrose before the budget, talking about the economy and taking calls. (Segment starts at 26:33 into the feed.)
- Vue Weekly‘s budget coverage quotes Greg Flanagan extensively in its story, “Through the looking glass: Alberta’s budget debate should be about revenue, say critics.”
- FFWD Weekly‘s budget coverage quotes Diana Gibson extensively: Alberta’s flat tax a disadvantage — ‘Alberta doesn’t really have a spending problem, we have a revenue problem’
