- can have their registration fees waived by working a minimum of three shifts
- need to attend a training/information session before the conference
- are invited to a post conference party on Thursday Dec. 1 at 6pm

Volunteer Training Sessions
Volunteers are required to come to a training session - even if you've volunteered in the past. Training includes a conference orientation and specific information about your responsibilities, and helps you make the most of your time in making this a great conference.
Training Dates:

Other training sessions may be organized depending on our volunteers’ schedules.
Please let us know which session you plan to attend. Sessions take approximately 90 minutes.

Volunteer Tasks and Positions
Below is a list of our volunteer positions organized in three sections: pre-conference, during conference, and coordinator positions (which have responsibilities both before and during the conference).
Pre-Conference Positions:

Event Promotion Volunteer
Distribute brochures, posters, flyers. Develop network for distribution.

Information Tables Volunteer
Set up information and/or sales tables for Parkland, answer questions about Parkland, and sell memberships and reports.

Office Support
Stuff conference kits and nametags and other tasks as set up with office manager. May include photocopying and answering the phone during the day on Thursday and Friday of the conference.
Coordinator Positions:

Parkland Table Coordinator
Train volunteers to cash in/out, handle money, receipting, etc. Organize volunteers for shifts during the conference. Coordinate inventory, table set up/tear down and money pick up.

Registration Table Coordinator
Train and coordinate volunteers for registration package assembly and registration table. Duties include set up Thursday and Friday night registration and ensuring Parkland table volunteers are able to process any remaining registrations.

Usher Coordinator
Check in with Ushers at the beginning of shifts. Reassign volunteers as necessary. Troubleshoot as needed. This position works directly with the conference coordinator.

Manager
Ensure tables, chairs, water, and layout, in general, are set up for sessions.
Volunteer Positions During the Conference:

Audio Visual
Organize equipment and set up of the audio visual equipment for the conference. Includes obtaining required keys, testing equipment to ensure it is operating and aiding speakers in its use. Training provided.

Driver
Drive speakers to and from the airport.
Remind speakers to return their hotel room keys.

Floater
This position fills in when necessary during a specific scheduled shift. Tasks often include food crew, usher and Parkland table volunteer.

Food Crew
Coffee or Lunch
Set up, help out, clean up after coffee in the morning and/or lunch on Saturday/Sunday.

Parkland Table Volunteer
Set up and tear down /sit at sales table for Parkland/ help with possible book signing/ handle sales of books, videos, tapes, memberships and session tickets. On Sat and Sun, duties also include processing remaining conference registrations and answering general questions about the conference and Parkland. Duties include receipting, cashing in and cashing out, and inventory. Ensure no one puts posters on walls in ETLC.

Photography Volunteer
Take pictures of keynote, plenary and workshop speakers and general response of conference attendees and volunteers. Process pictures, create photo album and identify speakers.

Registration Volunteer
Help set up registration table. Hand out conference packages and mark off attendees who have picked up packages. Make up packages for late attendees and record information.

Set-up Volunteer
Set up tables and signage etc. for conference and help put away and collect signage at the end of the event. Ensure no one puts posters on walls in ETLC.

Ticket Sales
Sell keynote speaker and single session tickets during the event.
