Dorval Brunelle
Dorval Brunelle is professor of sociology at the University of Quebec in Montreal, Canada. As co-founder of the Research Group on Continental Integration, he has written extensively on globalization and free trade. Due to his interest in NGOs, he has taken part in two of the three World Social Forum conferences in Porto Alegre. He is author of From World Order to Global Disorder: States, Markets, and Dissent UBC Press, 2007, and co-author, with Jackie Smith, M. Karides , D. Della Porta, C. Chase-Dunn, and others, of Global Democracy and the World Social Forums, Paradigm Publishers, 2007.
